We could all use a little movie therapy

I was thinking the other day about therapy. There are so many different kinds of therapies for our ailments; physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, physiological, etc. I was thinking about combo therapies that really help when the mental and emotional are intertwined. First thing that came to mind was music therapy. Music therapy is used worldwide to help people battle, heal, grow and embrace new lives. I listen to a lot of music and it’s been my savior over the years’. From Sigur Ros to Rage Against The Machine, music has allowed me to gracefully "most of the time" go through break-ups, disappointments, and life’s little surprises. That being said, music has been a conduit that has shepherded me through a tough time, but hasn’t necessarily been an igniter that changed my trajectory. Those moments have almost always come from movies. Movies have given me perspective, educated me and brought on dramatic shifts in my life trajectory. There are a few artists out there that have broken through and done that, but this is not about them; it’s about the movies that could potentially change you life. Movies that give you cause for pause. Movies that bleed through your skin and fasten themselves tightly around the brain, heart or soul.

There are different cross roads we encounter, so I have assembled a list of movies that correlate with some of the main cross roads. Maybe you are dealing with one of them and are in immediate need to some perspective.....You never know!
