Pain & Gain is awesomish--

Pain & Gain with Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson ​is good. It's a true story about three body builders who hatch a super insane plan; kidnap a guy with dollars, get him to sign his life over to them and in doing so achieve the American Dream of having lots of stuff and things. 

I wasn't sure what to expect with this movie. It could have gone ​a dozen different ways. I could see Michael Bay and all the behind the scene creatives developing the vision board for this film. They knew the story was so dark, that they had to create an almost hyper reality with the style of the film. Set in the 90's, the team were equipped with neon brights, tiny red Dodge sports cars and lots of muscle to establish the aesthetic. From the high contrast coloring to the multiple POV shots layered in with expansive exteriors, you were in and out, up and down and always on the move. All the actors brought their A game, you were entertained and completely grossed out at the same time and left the theatre in disbelief that this S*i+ happens....No more details....go see it. 

Fact: Wahlberg wears Calvin Klein undies in the movie. He did NOT want to.
